Chemistry4Innovation: quantum chemical simulations and catalyst re-using

Hosted by DexLeChem and the IZBM, the third event of Chemistry4Innovation will take place at the CoLaborator on May 29. The talks cover two hot topics: quantum chemical simulations and catalyst re-using techniques.

The startup CreativeQuantum specializes in the implementation of quantum chemistry-based research and development for the chemical, pharmaceutical and material industries. They will demonstrate how they identify on-demand any chemical and physical properties at the molecular level of any systems and processes.  In the second talk the renowned scientist Prof. D. Cole-Hamilton will discuss the use of aqueous biphasic systems (how to have high rates and efficient separation), and flow systems involving ionic liquids and/or supercritical fluids and describe an asymmetric hydrogenation in a flow system which uses no solvent and gives high yield, e.e. and retention of catalyst in the flow system.

Since DexLeChem is a technology oriented company with an innovation based business model the knowledge exchange with research institutions and innovation partners is of vital importance. At the same time DexLeChem wants to provide for a platform the exchange of information for the building of partnerships.

Chemistry4Innovation:
Under patronage of “Berlin Partner for Economy and Technology”, 4Chiral, the cluster of excellence UniCat, the Federal Association for German Startups, the Center for Entrepreneurship (TU Berlin) and profund (FU Berlin) the event aims at getting to know latest research findings in chemistry and to discuss their economic benefits. Moreover, ChemistryNetwork4Innovation seeks to bundle forces in the chemical-pharmaceutical industry in order to contribute to an additional value for all participants.
